"...walk worthy of the calling to which you have been called with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love..."

Ephesians 4:1-2

student ministry

We believe student ministry is primarily an auxiliary, a helpful aid, to parents who seek to raise their children in the Christian faith. Though we do a lot of fun things together, our guiding purpose is to help train students to love God, know His Word, and follow him faithfully. We do a number of things throughout the year and on a weekly basis to serve these ends.

We meet twice on a weekly basis. Our regular student group for 6th-12th graders meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm. Most of our time is spent going verse-by-verse through a book of the Bible. We’ll also have a group game each week and a meal on the first Wednesday of each month. On Sunday evenings our high schoolers meet at the Cavitts' house for Bible study from 6:30-8:30pm. These conversations are more in-depth and cover topics like ethics, sexuality, dating, spiritual disciplines, and philosophy. Every year we also have a weekend discipleship retreat, student camp, and a ministry trip to southeastern Kentucky (Appalachia).
