Local Outreach
"The light that shines the farthest shines the brightest at home."
—C.T. Studd

Serve the City
Our Serve The City initiative is a week-long church-wide effort to meet needs in our community. During this week, each of our small groups engage in service opportunities ranging from serving at the Roanoke Rescue Mission to completing small-scale construction projects. Our goal for these projects is to bless our city (Jer. 29:7) and give ourselves a platform to share the Gospel.

Jobs for Life
Established in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1996, Jobs for Life addresses the root causes of unemployment, underemployment, and disengagement with work by uniting churches, businesses, and community organizations and facilitating positive transformation within lives and communities. In partnership with Friendship House, New Century hosts weekly classes, provides meals, and offers childcare for participants.

Big Creek Missions
Since 2003, Big Creek Missions, has helped to share the Gospel and aid the poor in Kentucky's rural Appalachia. Each year, New Century sends at least one team of volunteers to Bear Branch Kentucky to serve with Big Creek and minister to the needy individuals in their network. Our teams help run day camps for kids, serve in the community, and spearhead a variety of construction and repair projects.
International Missions
"The Great Commission is not an option to be considered. It is a command to be obeyed."
—Hudson Taylor

Missionaries
International missions has always been central to New Century’s DNA. Making disciples must start at home, but it can't stay at home. With this conviction, we have sent or supported 13 full-time missionaries since our launch in 1996. We currently have missionaries serving in Southeast Asia (reaching Muslims) and in Thailand (reaching Tibetan Buddhists).

KishA Logos Tiranë
In 2021, two of our IMB missionaries partnered with Toni and Sajmira Aderaj to plant Logos Church in Albania's capital city, Tirana. In addition to conducting regular Sunday worship services, Logos Church uses their space to engage in various outreach efforts throughout the week. These efforts include nursing skills training (Sajmira works at the medical college and has almost completed her PhD in nursing), Alpha Course, and John Maxwell's leadership training, all of which allow them to build relationships with the people around them (<.5% evangelical) . In addition to providing regular financial support, New Century sends a team each year to serve alongside the Aderajs and and help them in their disciple-making efforts.
