Our Serve The City initiative is a week-long church-wide effort to meet needs in our community. During this week, each of our small groups engage in service opportunities ranging from serving at the Roanoke Rescue Mission to completing small-scale construction projects. Our goal for these projects is to bless our city (Jer. 29:7) and give ourselves a platform to share the Gospel.  

International missions has always been central to New Century’s DNA. We have sent or supported 13 full-time missionaries since our launch in 1996. We currently have missionaries serving in Southeast Asia, The Middle East, and Eastern Europe. In addition to praying for and supporting them in a variety of ways, New Century’s short-term mission trips are designed their unique ministry contexts and needs.
