Thomas Brown, Pastor of Worship

 

Thomas has been on staff with New Century since 1998.

 

In 1993 Thomas graduated from Spring Valley High School in Columbia South Carolina. Instead of going directly to college Thomas decided to move to Colorado to work as a ski instructor for Copper Mountain during the winters and work for Kanakuk Kamps in Missouri for the summer months. After 4 years of this he decied to slow down a little and attend classes at Columbia International University back in his home town.

 

In 1998 God called Thomas to leave South Carolina and move to Roanoke VA to be the Pastor to Students here at New Century Church. He stayed in that position full time until 2007 when he transitioned into the role of Pastor of Worship.

 

In 1999 Thomas met an amazing Godly young woman Heather, who was in her senior year at Virginia Tech. Sparks flew and the two were married in June of 2000 and they now have one son, Parker who was born in October 2004. Thomas and Heather now minister together working with youth, college students, and leading worship.

Interests: South Carolina Gamecock football (Go Cocks!); skiing (snow and water); playing guitar; riding motorcycles (Harley Davidson); yard work; mountain biking; just about anything outdoors; Jeeps; and C.J. (Thomas and Heather's black Lab who was named after his 1986 Jeep CJ7)
